Sun

Are your lenses polarised?

Our sunglasses are designed first and foremost for everyday wear, style, and comfort. Every pair features UV400 lenses which block 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays, the essential standard for sun protection.

Polarised lenses are designed to reduce glare in specific environments, but they don’t offer additional UV protection and can affect how screens and digital displays appear. For daily wear  we’ve found that high-quality UV400 lenses deliver the clearest, most versatile experience.

AUSTRALIA

Can I claim private health insurance (HCF) for optics orders?

We’re not a registered HCF optical provider, so we’re unable to process HCF claims on your behalf. However, many HCF members can still claim a rebate for optical purchases made with non-HCF providers by submitting a manual claim directly to HCF. The rebate amount and eligibility will depend on your individual policy.

We work in partnership with an Australian optical lab to produce our frames with your bespoke prescription. While your lenses are made in Australia, we’re not an Australian optometry practice, which means automatic HCF claiming isn’t available.

How to make a manual HCF claim with your purchase:

  1. After purchasing your glasses, reach out and we can email you an itemised invoice containing all the details required for claiming.

  2. Submit a manual claim to HCF, either via their online portal/app or by completing a claim form.

  3. Attach the itemised invoice and submit the claim to HCF for assessment and reimbursement.

We recommend contacting HCF directly before purchasing to confirm your optical benefits and to check the exact manual claiming process for purchases made with non-HCF providers.

Where do you ship from?

We fulfil orders from two locations, our studio in London, and a local location in Melbourne.

Australian orders are shipped from Melbourne, allowing for faster delivery and easier returns.

Are lenses AU/NZ UV compliant?

All lenses provide 100% UV protection and comply with AS/NZS 1067:2016, which sets requirements for UV transmittance and eye protection in Australia and New Zealand.

Are your lenses compliant with Australian standards?

All of our eyewear has been tested in accordance with Australian and New Zealand standards, including AS/NZS 1067:2016 for sunglasses and fashion eyewear.

Aftercare

Our eyewear is designed  to handle daily wear while looking good doing it. With a little care, they’ll stay looking & feeling their best for seasons to come.

Store with care

When you’re not wearing your sunglasses, store them in their case. Avoid leaving them loose in bags, cars, or pockets where surfaces and objects can rub against the lenses or frame.Try not to leave them in hot environments, as excess heat can affect both frames and lenses.

Be kind to your lenses

Most wear doesn’t come from sunlight, it comes from friction. Dust, sand, and fine debris can scratch lenses if they’re wiped when dry. Before cleaning, give your sunglasses a quick rinse to remove any particles.

Rinse away everyday residue

Things like salt water, sweat, sunscreen, makeup, and even rain can slowly affect lens coatings if left to dry. If your sunglasses come into contact with any of these, rinse them as soon as possible. Letting residue sit can lead to staining or surface wear

Cleaning made easy

Rinse with lukewarm water and gently dry using a clean microfibre cloth. Make sure the lenses are fully dry to avoid water marks. Skip paper towels, clothing, or harsh cleaners, these can scratch or dull the lens surface over time.
